Christmas lights, also known as festive lights, are decorative illuminations used to adorn Christmas trees and buildings during the holiday season. They serve both religious symbolism and festive decoration.

Traditional Christmas lights primarily used incandescent bulbs but are now gradually being replaced by more energy-efficient LED lights. LED Christmas lights form patterns through the arrangement of light beads, support multi-color changes, and achieve flashing effects using hybrid series/parallel circuits. They feature low power consumption and extended lifespan. In Q1 2025, China's Christmas light exports grew by 29% year-on-year. Amid Europe's energy crisis, Lyon, France's light show adopted LED technology, with some installations featuring wind-powered interactive illumination.
